Globaltrak launches GT-2 digital platform - the company's response to the challenges of the FTL market
The Globaltruck team announces the launch of a digital platform that brings together all the essential services required by freight carriers and shippers in the trucking market.
The platform's structure originates from the GlobalTruck team' years of practical experience in transportation logistics, which takes into account all specifics of interaction between market participants.
Globaltruck Group's updated strategy envisages the development of a combined business model: operating its own fleet and developing a digital platform. This model allows the company to meet customer requests both via reliable carrier partners and with its own fleet.
The platform offers multiple modules that form a single information space. Several hundred carriers registered on the platform every month during the first few months of operation (more than 800 carriers as at the start of August) and their number will continue to grow every month thanks to the convenient services provided by the GT-2 Platform.
A registered Carrier gets access to a private account where they can independently take on customer applications, exchange application documents, and access additional services, including funding assurance.
The system handles transportation requests from customers, the order allocation module selects a carrier and suggests the best mode of transportation and determines the fare through a multi-stage intelligent system.
Ilya Sattarov, CEO of PAO Globaltruck Management, commented on the launch of the new product:
"For the past year, the Globaltruck IT team and salesforce have been actively developing the platform, which we originally planned to launch only by the end of 2022. However, in the last few months, the trucking market has begun to transform dramatically: existing supply chains have been disrupted, freight flows are on the decline and freight rates are changing.
With the market reorienting towards domestic consumers and new cargo flows emerging towards destinations in Asia and the Middle East, many carriers are under pressure to reduce their fleets or look for alternatives in the current environment.
The GT-2 platform allows the carrier not only to select the best and guaranteed orders, but, most importantly in the current environment, to access financing to cover 'cash' gaps while reducing costs through 'big player' purchasing terms for fuel and fleet maintenance. We believe that the quick launch of the project in the current environment is not only of commercial importance, but will also support the trucking market in the current environment, especially small carriers and individual entrepreneurs, secure jobs for drivers and ultimately provide the necessary market size for new routes and logistics chains."
